If you have an astigmatism can you wear hard or soft contacts? - how do i know whether i am wearing contact lense the right side up

I, I, astigmatism contacts AMSE (n soft /) ring, and I think people with astigmatism want to wear this type of contact lenses, if they have very bad astigmatism, which really, if you wear contacts lenses, rigid or flexible, because I reallllyyy want these colored contacts .. wouldnt you use it as just looking the color of my eye change I HELP PLEASE!
